DESCRIPTION:Crypto Valley gave the world one of its first credible blockcha
in ecosystems — a cluster of foundations\, protocols\, and regulatory fi
rsts that put Zug and Zürich on the global map. A decade in\, the picture
is more complicated. Switzerland punches above its weight in protocol inf
rastructure and institutional credibility\, yet many builders describe a m
issing layer: the everyday community gravity that makes cities like Lisbon
\, Berlin\, or Singapore feel alive for crypto-natives. Switzerland hosts
Davos\, CV Summit\, EthZüri\, and dozens of other events — yet builders
who live and work here often say they only run into each other at confere
nces abroad\, not at home. The talent is here\; the togetherness often isn
't.\n\nThis workshop flips the usual panel format. After a short scene-set
ting from community organisers working to change the local landscape\, we
open the floor: what's your high point of building in Switzerland? Your lo
w? What would make you stay — or come back? The goal is to leave the roo
m with an honest\, builder-sourced picture of what community organisations
and local Ethereum groups can concretely do to strengthen the ecosystem o
ver the next decade. Bring your frustrations\, your ideas\, and your energ
y — this one is as much yours as ours.

DESCRIPTION:Walk into almost any web3 event in Zurich and count the develop
ers. Then count the salespeople\, the investors\, and the BD reps. The rat
io will tell you everything you need to know about why Swiss builders feel
alone in a country with nearly 900 blockchain companies.\n\nWe surveyed 7
0+ Swiss web3 builders and the picture was sharper than we expected: 43% f
eel isolated from their tech community\, 79% want to work alongside peers
regularly\, and 95% are frustrated with current events. The talent is here
. The community is not.\n\nThis talk is about that gap\, and what it would
take to close it. The argument is simple: communities don't just happen.
They have to be designed\, with deliberate choices about who's in the room
\, what gets discussed\, who pays for it\, and who decides what comes next
. I'll share what the survey revealed about how Swiss builders actually wa
nt to spend time together\, and the principles we think any builder commun
ity has to commit to in order to stay one: community-first\, curated\, aff
 ordable\, tech-agnostic.\n\nThen I'll show how we're putting those princip
les into practice with Z3\, the non-profit community space we're opening i
 n Zurich in H2 2026\, and the honest trade-offs we're running into along t
 he way.
