Tokenization has made it possible to represent real-world assets onchain, but the operational layer connecting blockchains to traditional financial infrastructure remains largely unsolved.
Deposits, redemptions, treasury movements, and collateral management still rely on manual processes or fragile integrations between smart contracts and off-chain systems. As RWA protocols scale, this gap becomes a critical bottleneck: blockchains operate synchronously and deterministically, while real-world financial systems are asynchronous, slow, and institutionally constrained.
This talk explores the emerging architecture for programmatically coordinating on-chain markets with off-chain financial infrastructure. Drawing on implementation experience with tokenized funds, lending protocols, and infrastructure providers, we examine patterns for automating deposit and redemption workflows, synchronizing off-chain settlement with on-chain state, and managing asynchronous liquidity flows.
The session will present design patterns for building a reliable “control plane” between financial systems and Ethereum, covering event-driven execution, oracle-based triggers, and safety mechanisms for handling failures and delays.
As RWAs grow from experiments to large financial systems, solving this coordination layer will be essential to making on-chain markets interoperable with real-world capital.

Her team designs and operates production-grade systems that bridge tokens across dozens of chains, architect proof-of-reserves feeds, and build smart data and NAV solutions for institutional adoption of Web3.
She began her blockchain journey in 2017 with SAP’s blockchain team, piloting some of the earliest tokenization scenarios for financial services and other industries. Prior to Chainlink, she served as Head of Sales Engineering at Figment, a leading institutional staking provider, and at Google Cloud.
With 15 years of experience in enterprise software and 8 years in crypto, Artiona has built with, sold to, and shipped for both crypto-native teams and traditional institutions. From staking to CCIP to price feeds, she has helped scale core Web3 infrastructure and led hands-on integrations across EVM, Solana, and beyond. Known for her focus on execution, she works closely with her architects, unblocks technical challenges, and ensures reliable systems are shipped on time and at scale.
