We present an alternative, direct way to sponsor selected user transactions by using our own wallet, backend and "AuthorizedExecutor" contract.
Current "Gasless Transactions" structure via EIP-7702, Paymasters and UserOperations are overly complicated and therefore not widely adopted by many mainstream dApps or wallets. We present a simpler, direct way to sponsor user transactions, for cases where the platform has an accompanying mobile wallet app. Using EIP-712 signatures over a transaction object and EIP-7702 delegation to an AuthorizedExecutor contract that can execute such transactions, platforms can execute selected user transactions from any sender. The mobile wallet first checks whether the transactions are eligible for sponsoring, and handles proper signing and submission for transactions that do qualify. No changes to the dApp layer are required. This talk will show the signing and process flow, the AuthorizedExecutor contract code, while also discussing the solution from security, DoS protection and decentralization perspectives.
