DeFi can meet institutional requirements without turning front-ends into custodians. This talk distills what we’ve built at 1inch to make institutional-grade real: (1) Policy Presets that flip on disclosures, event logging, geo/permitted-issuer filters, sanctions checks, and reporting with one flag; (2) an Evidence Pack API that exports signed route/fee/risk/consent bundles for auditors; and (3) a public Transparency Portal with RouteProof attestations for routing logic and price sources together with new shared liquidity protocols Aqua. Attendees leave with schemas, failure modes, and operational guardrails (LE response, incident evidence, execution-discretion minimization) they can implement immediately.
What you’ll learn:
+ How to ship compliance-as-product without custody (UI/API presets vs. handling funds)
+ How to make auditability a feature (signed logs, exportable evidence, attestation receipts)
+ How to design defensive UI/UX that survives supervision (copy, flows, discretion limits) with 1inch Aqua
Orest Gavryliak is Chief Legal Officer at 1inch, building non-custodial, institutional-ready rails for DeFi.
