Web3 infra allows more and more applications to be built that have a substantial amount of their transactions on-chain. This shift requires more and more automation and coordination to provide truly good UX for the users. However, most projects use centralized web2 infrastructure to do this. With implications on complexity, cost and security. In this keynote we explore those topics and how cryptography (especially threshold cryptography) might help us solve some of them.
The keynote will have the following components:
- How is plumbing built in web3 today?
- Why is it relying so much on web2?
- Why is this a hard problem?
- How can Threshold cryptography help solve this?
- How can this be implemented in real life?
