Solarpunk principles and best practices in energy, mobility, urban planning and circular economy
2026-05-09 –, Grégr Stage

An optimistic future is already unfolding, with off-the-shelf solutions rooted in Solarpunk principles. Cities and their communities can act as catalysts for scalable, regenerative systems. This includes best practices in energy, mobility, architecture, and ways of living, as well as urban mining in circular economy, shaping a resilient, long-term urban future.

Seeing the challenges our planet is facing today, we felt it was time to dedicate energy and experience to the Solarpunk movement. We share an optimistic view of the future and demonstrate that Solarpunk is not only visionary but has already been gaining traction.
Based on our professional background, we understand technology and truly believe in its potential to address today’s issues to pave the way for a sustainable future for all beings on this planet.

Dr. Bianca Buchold is the founder of SOLARPUNK cities, an optimistic platform exploring how sustainable, regenerative urban futures are already taking shape. With a background in global telecom and automotive systems, she connects infrastructure, networks, and real-world innovation to envision resilient, decentralized solutions in practice.
