“Institutions have never been exposed to a world where privacy was negotiable”- this talk breaks down privacy in relation to compliance, regulatory pressure, launchpad evolution, institutional demand and the emergence of stablecoins.
This talk bridges the gap of privacy as we currently understand it- pseudonimity by default with dedicated privacy apps using broken UX or posing risks to developers and users alike- vs the new paradigm introduced by FHE and the advances we’ve seen in cryptography. I will cover privacy enhancing technologies like TEEs, MPC, ZK and FHE and describe how this tech will be used to build the next generation of use cases to onboard the next billion users who won’t even know they’re leveraging crypto. This talk also touches on the importance of privacy by design in dapp architecture all along the lifecycle and not as an afterthought after your product is built.
