Designing Prediction Market Protocols: A 90-Minute End-to-End Engineering Workshop
2026-05-10 –, Masaryk Stage

This workshop presents a structured, reproducible workflow for designing prediction market protocols from first principles through deployment.

The emphasis is methodological: formal mechanism specification, adversarial modeling, simulation, parameter tuning, and translation into modular smart contract architecture.

Participants will work through the full stack required to build

Detailed Structure (90 Minutes)
1. Problem Framing & Mechanism Specification (15 min)
Objective: Define the economic system before writing code.
Output: clear mathematical specification of mechanism behavior.

  1. Adversarial Economic Modeling (20 min)

Objective: Stress the design under strategic behavior.
Participants learn how to formalize incentive compatibility and fragility before implementation.

  1. Simulation & Stress Testing Pipeline (20 min)

Objective: Validate mechanism behavior prior to deployment.
Agent-based modeling structure
Parameter sweeps (liquidity depth, fee curves, volatility regimes)
Participants leave with a simulation workflow template applicable to any onchain market.

  1. Translating Economics into Smart Contracts (20 min)

Objective: Map invariants into Solidity architecture.
Focus: economic assumptions must constrain contract boundaries.

  1. Deployment, Monitoring & Iteration (15 min)

Objective: Move from testnet to production.
Iterative redesign loop
Prediction markets are treated as evolving systems, not static deployments.

  1. Participant Outcomes

Attendees will gain:

A first-principles design methodology

A structured adversarial modeling workflow

A reproducible simulation pipeline

Clear mapping from mechanism specification to Solidity implementation

A deployment checklist for robustness and capital efficiency

Crypto economist and token engineer focused on mechanism design, prediction market architectures, and adversarial modeling in onchain systems. Background in formal economic analysis and protocol research, with experience translating theoretical market mechanisms into production-grade smart contract implementations on Ethereum.
