Future Governance with Human & AI Teams: Preserving Human Agency in Network State Environments
2026-05-10 –, Sladkovský Stage

Subtle coercion is easy to embed in code, defaults, and AI systems. This talk explores how to design Human-AI governance teams that amplify, rather than erode, human agency. Through Commons-compatible architecture, we examine how to encode exit, consent, and oversight into protocol design, so AI augments sovereignty instead of quietly replacing it.

My work sits at the intersection of legal engineering, venture architecture, and world-building. This topic is personal and structural at the same time. As a lawyer and governance strategist, I have seen how power rarely announces itself as coercion. It hides in procedure, in defaults, in “efficient” automation, in asymmetries of information. In Web3 and AI-native environments, this dynamic intensifies. If we do not consciously design for agency, we will encode soft coercion into the infrastructure of emerging digital polities.

My motivation for speaking about this comes from two converging experiences. First, my legal research and applied work in DAOs showed me that technology alone does not create sovereignty. Second, through Solarpunk Futures Field Guide, I explore governance as a living system rather than a control mechanism. In that worldview, AI is not a replacement for human judgment but an exoskeleton, an augmentative layer that extends foresight, coordination, and analysis while preserving human meaning-making.

At ETH Prague, I see a unique opportunity. The Ethereum ecosystem has already demonstrated that infrastructure shapes culture. My goal is to contribute to the Ethereum community a governance perspective that integrates legal structure, systems thinking, and philosophy.
