Hardware Wallets in the Age of AI
2026-05-08 –, Grégr Stage

AI agents need to transact autonomously, but current approaches are insecure or trust-dependent. This talk presents policy-based signing: approve rules on a hardware wallet once, let agents operate within bounds.

At Trezor, we've been thinking about how hardware wallets fit into a world where AI agents are doing most of the transacting - and the honest answer is that the current UX doesn't work. You can't press confirm 50 times a day.

This talk is about the practical middle ground: policy-based signing using EIP-7702, ERC-7579, and ERC-7715. I'll walk through the architecture, what's live today, and what's coming next.
