You'll learn the basics of the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) and its Chain Fusion capabilities. You'll explore the chain fusion starter project, and learn how you can extend the power of Ethereum smart contracts, setting you up for success in the bounty competion.
The Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) is a blockchain based on threshold cryptography, state machine replication, and a novel consensus algorithm.
It was carefully designed to give smart contracts near native performance and scalability while maintaining the security of decentralized execution.
Another important design aspect of ICP is its seamless and secure integration with existing ecosystems like Bitcoin and Ethereum, but also traditional web services, leveraging threshold signatures and HTTPS outcalls.
In this workshop, you'll get an introduction to ICP with a focus on its Chain Fusion superpowers. Furthermore, you'll dive into a starter project that demonstrates how ICP smart contracts can be used to extend Ethereum and EVM smart contracts in powerful ways with applications to DeFi, NFTs, and governance.
This will give you the perfect basis to build powerful cross-chain applications with minimal effort and will set you up for success in competing for our bounty.
