We present Bank3, a shielding smart contract that only temporary hides the beneficiary, but with significantly lower gas costs and generalizes stealth addresses to DAO and the identity-based settings.
Bank3 is a generic method to enable cryptocurrency transfers whose beneficiary remains private until the assets are withdrawn. The fact that the recipient is eventually known means that there should be no legal issues. We will show how Bank3 works in practice (on Ethereum testnet) and will also describe a "dark" variant of Bank3 in which the receiver maintains privacy. Bank3 generalizes stealth addresses to the DAO and identity-based settings.
