Where Did the Builders Go? Grants, Hackathons & the Cost of Not Tracking Impact
05-27, 17:00–17:25 (CET), Workshop

Hackathons end, but impact should persist. Proof of Ship introduces onchain builder histories, automated milestone tracking, and grant intelligence, using KarmaGAP + Divvi. Builders gain reputation continuity; ecosystems get visibility. It’s infrastructure for smarter, more equitable Web3 funding.

We keep throwing money at hackathons, but where’s the long game? Grant programs still rely on spreadsheets and vibes to track milestones. Builders disappear into the void after events, and ecosystems lack visibility into who’s building what, and how well.
With KarmaGAP + Divvi, Proof of Ship bridges this gap. This is not top-of-funnel initiative, it’s the next step in ecosystem coordination: an onchain builder history, automated milestone tracking, and grant intelligence infrastructure. Builders get reputation continuity. Grant providers get verifiable insights. Ecosystems get a database to actually build with.
We’re building public goods that make Web3 grant systems smarter, more transparent, and more equitable—one builder at a time.
