Money money money. That's all the ecosystem seems to really be talking about. But Non-financial use-cases for the internet vastly outnumber financial ones. Sure, money is important, and provides a mechanism for incentivising progress, but it's only one piece of a much bigger picture. This talk uncovers broader opportunities to improve humanity's use of this valuable tool: the internet.
The Ethereum ecosystem, as well as the public blockchain community at large, is still predominantly focused on financial use-cases of this groundbreaking technology. Furthermore, there is still a non-zero focus towards building entities, such as corporations and institutions, which are not exclusively human-centric.
This talk explores the landscape of human-centric digital connection, providing a fresh perspective on how we communicate, coordinate and collaborate as a species. It will expose the true nature of the problem with the current situation, and propose a simplified approach to bringing people together using computers, assisted by public blockchains and simple cryptographic primitives.
